During the Summer months we prefer to schedule classes by appointment (it's tough scheduling around people's vacations!) Most class instruction will cost around $25-35/hr for up to four teens/adults. Grab a friend or two and schedule exactly the classes you want! Ask at the shop for more information on scheduling a class. Many classes are limited to 2 to 4 students, talk about personalized instruction! We'll leave up our winter class lists so you can get inspired!

Sign up for classes online using the Sign-Up now button! Class lists are arranged by month, use the menu at left to view current classes. We do try and keep the online listings as accurate as possible, but changes happen. We always maintain a correct & current class listing at the shop. Please read the Class Policies before signing up for any classes.
Remember, registering early helps to guarantee that we don't cancel the classes you want!
Tired of seeing Libby's name so much in the class-listings? We're always looking for qualified teachers, talk to us if you're interested in teaching a class Down at the Dyeworks!
Crafty Family Classes are designed especially for parents with young children. They provide a fun time for parent-child interaction in a low-pressure environment. The idea that art is an individual process is stressed and unique projects are always encouraged. Although projects are structured, patterns are not generally used. Classes are often, wet, soapy, and can even get a bit messy or icky! Be sure to ask at the time of enrollment what attire is appropriate for each class! Each session has a seasonal (non-denominational) theme.
You may recognize two of the instructors for these classes. Jack is eight, and Beth Ann is six, this is truly a family experience for us!
Due to the nature of our special floor, narrow heels can not be worn in the classroom! Stocking and bare feet are also prohibited in the classroom, so you must be sure to bring an extra pair of shoes if necessary. Sorry, no exceptions.
Cancellations must be made at least 3 days in advance for full refund. No refunds will be issued after the class begins.
Registration will begin when class lists are posted and continue until the class is full, or 3 days prior to the beginning of class. 50% of the class fee is due at the time of registration, any balance remaining is due at the beginning of the first class. If the minimum enrollment is not met, the class may be cancelled. In the event of cancellation, all fees collected will be refunded. You can call on the day of the class to see if there are still openings.
Fees for instruction and materials will be clearly identified at the time of enrollment. Students should have all of their materials by the start of class, unless otherwise noted. Students will receive 10% off materials purchased for class-use.
Children under the age of 6 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Additional restrictions may also apply for some classes, see the class listing for more info.
** A Note on Age ** Most teens and pre-teens are able to do many of our classes, and many of our instructors have experience working with children and young adults. Occasionally we will open up classes to very young students. All students under 15 will need instructor permission before taking a class not designated for their age group. Sometimes parent enrollment is also required, especially when chemicals are being used. Every student is an individual. Many of our classes are structured with adults in mind, and a twelve year old, although able to physically do the project, may be absolutely bored out of their skull. Instructors will be able to choose whether or not to accept younger students. Feel free to ask at the shop for more information.
