We're considering running a class for teachers, scout & 4H leaders, camp workers, and parents to teach them a series of fun crafts to do with kids. This hands-on class would be designed to provide instruction on how to teach specific projects as you complete one of your own. Contact us if you are interested in learning more about this class.

A Note on Age: Most teens and pre-teens are able to do many of our classes, and many of our instructors have experience working with children and young adults. Occasionally we will open up classes to very young students. Many of our classes are structured with adults in mind, and a twelve year old, although able to physically do the project, may be absolutely bored out of their skull. Instructors will be able to choose whether or not to accept younger students. See our class policies for more.

Winter Weather Conditions

In the case of weather severe enough to cause us to cancel or postpone a class, we will make every effort possible to contact all students as soon as we know. If we cancel a class (due to bad weather in Ashland, or an instructor that can not make it to the shop) you will be refunded. Often we will try to reschedule that class or session. Students enrolled in a cancelled class will have first dibs at slots in rescheduled sessions. If you can not make it to a lesson due to the weather, notify us as soon as you can. If enough students can not come in, we will reschedule the class. If the class continues as planned, Northwoods Dyeworks is not required to issue a refund.

Online Class Sign-Up Form

Online Registrants - You are not completely registered for a class until at least 50% of the class fee is paid in person. Online Sign-Up only alerts us to "hold" a spot open until you come in. We will always attempt to contact you before giving away your spot. Contact Northwoods Dyeworks to arrange payment after you have signed up online.

Class sizes are limited and if the class is full when we receive your form, we will contact you to see if you'd like to go on a waiting list. Our instructors always reserve the right to cancel a class if a minimum number of students do not register (they make the call 2-3 days before, which is why you should always try to sign up, with your deposit, at least 4 days to a week in advance!) If the class is cancelled by Northwoods Dyeworks, you will receive a full refund.

You must cancel at least 48 hours before the class begins in order to receive a refund. No refunds are given after the class has begun. Please obtain all materials and complete any "homework" prior to the beginning of the first class. A materials list will be provided when you pay your registration fee (it is also in the online description.) We do try and keep the online listings as accurate as possible, but changes happen. We always maintain a correct & current class listing at the shop. Please read the fullClass Policies before signing up for any classes.

Remember, registering early helps to guarantee that we don't cancel the classes you want!
